We deeply value collaboration, entrepreneurship, and integrity, and focus on achieving sustainable impact for the communities we serve. **Program Overview:** The Business Strengthening and Accompaniment Project aims to contribute to the sustainable economic development of communities around Challhuahuacho by strengthening the business, technical, and organizational capacities of local and community-based enterprises, enabling them to competitively and sustainably access business opportunities with large companies over a 36-month intervention period. **Position Summary:** Lead the project’s comprehensive implementation in terms of time, budget, and scope, ensuring achievement of strategic goals to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (community-based and non-community-based). This role is critical to facilitating these enterprises’ integration into the mining sector’s supply chain and strengthening the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. **Key Functions and Responsibilities:** * Design and lead implementation of the project’s operational, financial, and procurement plans. * Supervise the monitoring unit and external consultants. * Ensure timely and effective delivery of advisory services, workshops, and other project activities. * Monitor project progress against the annual work plan. * Lead the project’s strategy and propose technical improvements. * Coordinate budget execution and ensure alignment with objectives. * Build relationships with strategic stakeholders and promote partnerships. * Advance empowerment of actors within the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. * Conduct field visits to intervention areas for follow-up, validation, and support. * Review team timesheets and progress reports monthly. * Prepare and present executive performance reports—both programmatic and financial. * **Basic Qualifications (Required):** Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Engineering, Social Sciences, or related fields. * **Work Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience. + Minimum of 6 years of specific experience leading multi-stakeholder projects with a territorial focus in mining-affected areas. + Proven experience engaging with markets and managing business operations. + More than 5 years of experience in local economic development, SME strengthening, or community-based enterprise development. * **Residency:** Cusco, preferably. **Required Languages:** Spanish and intermediate or advanced Quechua (spoken and written). **Travel:** To Challhuahuacho on an atypical 14x7 schedule. * **Technical Knowledge and Specific Skills** Project Management: Proficiency across the full project cycle (design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and closure) using methodologies such as PMI, Logical Framework, or Agile. * Strategic and Operational Planning: Ability to design and assess territorial-intervention strategies, as well as develop operational, financial, and procurement plans. * Financial Management: Budget programming, control, and analysis of budget execution based on cost/benefit criteria. * Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): Ability to define management, impact, and sustainability indicators, and to design information collection processes and validate programmatic reports. * Community Relations and Regulatory Frameworks: Knowledge of participatory, intercultural, and gender-sensitive approaches; familiarity with public procurement regulations and territorial development policies is desirable. * Digital Tools: Proficiency in office software (intermediate Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and online monitoring or document management platforms. * Academic Training: Postgraduate studies in project management, community relations, conflict resolution, or related fields. * Understanding of the project area’s sociopolitical and productive context.
