MISSION
Carry out all maintenance operations efficiently; respond proactively and effectively in emergencies while maintaining high standards of commitment, communication, safety, and environmental care
RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out instructions and directives from the Motorized Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, appropriately reporting progress, performance, and goal achievement.
Perform mechanical maintenance tasks—preventive and corrective, scheduled and unscheduled—following procedures outlined in the maintenance manual and those established by the Motorized Equipment Maintenance Supervision and Area Management.
Read hydraulic schematics and parts manuals; perform minor calibrations and adjustments on mobile equipment.
Carry out medium- and low-complexity repairs, and support execution of major and specialized repairs—in workshop and field—using appropriate equipment and tools.
Diagnose and identify failures, malfunctions, or defects in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of mobile equipment, determining their causes and possible solutions.
Promptly inform the direct supervisor of the need for additional work—including repairs, part fabrication, mechanical or electrical welding, and observations made during execution of scheduled electrical maintenance, priority maintenance, or inspections of equipment and machinery.
Timely request acquisition of components, elements, and spare parts required for execution of planned, unplanned, and priority mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance activities.
Withdraw materials from the supply warehouse using corresponding reservations, verifying the condition of components, spare parts, and supplies; coordinating assistance if necessary for complex movements, and reporting stock shortages or returns.
Report any anomalous events involving equipment, machinery, components, elements, or systems—whether owned or third-party—that could pose risks to port operations, safety, or environmental care.
Execute lockout procedures for systems, equipment, machinery, and IPERC prior to intervention in both scheduled and emergency work.
Monitor, inspect, and record the delivery and return of motorized equipment belonging to the Motorized Equipment area.
Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area before, during, and after each maintenance task performed.
Notify assigned maintenance orders within established deadlines and prepare corrective maintenance notices and improvement proposals.
Properly use and maintain assigned PPE, tools, resources, and facilities, keeping them in optimal operating and preservation condition; immediately report any damage or malfunction to the Supervisor.
Collaborate in implementing safety programs and comply with internal labor regulations, Integrated Management System procedures, and complementary standards.
Operate mobile equipment without load (transportation, positioning, and no-load testing) for maintenance activities, provided the employee has received the required training.
