**Full job description** A company in the mining sector is looking for the best talent to fill the position of **MECHANICAL WELDER – AREQUIPA \-(CHALA).** **REQUIREMENTS:** * Technical training in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, or related fields. * Minimum of 6 months of experience in equipment, structures, and metal parts maintenance and repair. * Knowledge of welding techniques. * Availability to work under a 20x10 mining shift schedule. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Carry out and report preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance, repairs, and/or modifications on operating equipment underground and/or on surface according to established schedules, as well as provide mechanical technical support underground, ensuring daily equipment operation and avoiding unexpected downtimes. * Adjust welding parameters according to technical requirements. * Rebuild equipment through welding or replacement of components. * Inspect, disassemble, and repair machines and structures, ensuring their operability. * Generate requests for materials, tools, and spare parts. * Analyze, detect, and resolve failures in mechanical, hydraulic systems (brakes, cooling systems, steering, engine, lifting mechanisms, tires, differentials, oil leaks, structural issues, among others). * Maintain accurate records of used parts and spare parts, as well as tool and equipment inventory. * Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on mining equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent failures. * Complete reports on assigned tasks; execution of daily work, repairs, tests, calibrations, adjustments, modifications, wear evaluations for all service equipment.
