Come and be part of our movement for global health! https://www.pih.org/ https://sociosensalud.org.pe/ Position: **Doctor \-Tumbes** **Vacancies (1\)** Mission: To provide comprehensive, humanitarian, and timely medical care to refugees and people in situations of human mobility attending the Aguas Verdes PAO – UNHCR, through prevention, diagnosis, and clinical management of prevalent diseases, health promotion, and participation in community outreach activities, ensuring respect for human rights, dignity, and equitable access to health services. Requirements: * Graduate in medicine. Licensed and authorized to practice. * Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in the health sector * Experience working in community health campaigns (not essential) * Experience working with refugee populations (not essential) * Availability to work permanently in Aguas Verdes and travel to districts with high concentrations of migrants and refugees exclusively for community outreach activities (Tumbes, Pto. Pizarro, La Cruz, Pampa Grande, Zorritos, Zarumilla). Responsibilities: · Provide comprehensive medical care to refugees and people in situations of human mobility, conducting clinical evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-ups according to MINSA protocols and current humanitarian guidelines. · Accurately and promptly record each patient visit in the electronic medical record, ensuring data confidentiality and quality. · Conduct psychological first aid screenings for refugees. · Prescribe essential medications according to the National Essential Medicines List and available supplies, promoting rational drug use. · Identify and manage priority public health cases (infectious diseases, gender-based violence, mental health, etc.) and make appropriate referrals to relevant health facilities; if the patient has SIS insurance, refer accordingly, otherwise coordinate transfers to polyclinics with which agreements are maintained. · Actively participate in community health outreach programs, providing medical care on-site, health education, and guidance to refugee populations. · Coordinate with the project’s technical team and local institutions (DIRESA, health facilities, partner organizations) to ensure continuity and quality of care. · Maintain ethical and professional conduct, respecting the dignity, rights, and specific circumstances of patients without any form of discrimination. · Participate in continuous training programs offered by Socios en Salud, UNHCR, the Ministry of Health, or other strategic partners, strengthening clinical and community competencies. · Report all activities to the regional coordinator. · Actively participate in work meetings, presenting cases requiring additional interventions identified during consultations. · Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
