### **Welding Inspector – Hydroelectric Project** **Work Location:** Huaylas Province, Áncash **Estimated Project Duration:** 90 days (Monday to Saturday) #### **Job Description** We are looking for a qualified **Welding Inspector** responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of metal component manufacturing processes according to **ASME**, **SSPC**, and other applicable standards. The selected professional will be responsible for **verifying materials, welding procedures, tests, and quality controls**, as well as **issuing conformity certifications** throughout the manufacturing process. #### **Main Responsibilities** Supervise the **manufacturing and welding** of metal components according to drawings, technical specifications, and international standards. Verify compliance with **welding procedures (WPS, PQR, WPQ)** and welder personnel qualifications. Inspect materials, consumables, and working conditions prior to execution. Supervise and record results of **non-destructive testing (NDT)**. Issue **quality inspection reports** at various stages of the process. Ensure compliance with applicable **industrial safety and environmental** regulations for the project. Coordinate with the engineering and quality assurance team to validate the technical compliance of manufactured products. #### **Requirements** **Technical or engineering degree** in **Welding, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.** **Current certification as a Welding Inspector** under **ASME** standards (CWI, CSWIP, AWS or equivalent). **Minimum of 3 years of proven experience** in welding inspection on industrial, mechanical, or hydroelectric projects. Knowledge of **ASME, AWS D1\.1, ASTM, SSPC** standards, and non-destructive testing procedures. Ability to prepare technical reports and photographic documentation. Intermediate proficiency in computer tools (MS Office).
