Coordinate and motivate underground mining work teams **MINING ENGINEER / SHIFT SUPERVISOR (Underground Mine)** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a Mining Engineer capable of comprehensively leading and supervising mining operations during the assigned shift, ensuring compliance with the production plan under the highest standards of safety, operational efficiency, and environmental stewardship. Teamwork capability, responsibility, and above all, the ability to handle work-related pressure. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Operational Management:** Supervise the full mining cycle (drilling, blasting, mucking, ground support, and auxiliary services). * **Health and Safety:** Ensure all personnel comply with safety standards, continuous IPERC, and proper use of PPE. Lead pre-shift safety talks. * **Goal Achievement:** Execute the daily production plan (advance and tonnage) by optimizing resource and equipment utilization. * **Personnel Management:** Coordinate and motivate work crews, managing discipline and workplace climate at the face. * **Reporting:** Prepare detailed shift reports covering progress, incidents, consumables usage, and equipment mechanical availability. **Required Profile:** * **Education:** Licensed and registered Mining Engineer. * **Experience:** Minimum [3-5] years in similar roles within underground mining (especially methods such as *Cut-and-Fill* or *Sublevel Stoping*). * **Knowledge:** Proficiency in mining software, current mining safety legislation, and operational cost management. * **Competencies:** Leadership of operational teams, decision-making under pressure, assertive communication, and results-oriented mindset. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Benefits:** * Accommodation and meals provided by the company. * Professional development opportunities. * Atypical 20x10 work schedule. * Employment certificates verifying experience required. * Preference for candidates residing in the southern region of the country (AREQUIPA-PUNO-CUSCO-TACNA).
