Optimize field blasting processes **BLASTING SUPERVISOR – OPEN-PIE MINE** **Schedule:** 14x7 **Location:** Minera Pampa de Cobre – Chapi Mine **Work Mode:** On-site at the mine **Job Description** A mining-sector company is seeking a **Blasting Supervisor – Open-Pit Mine** for a rock-blasting project using explosives in an open-pit mining operation. This position targets field-experienced personnel responsible for leading, coordinating, and supervising operational blasting activities in open-pit mining, ensuring personnel safety, workplace order, and adherence to established procedures. **Main Responsibilities** * Supervise and direct explosive loading and blasting activities in open-pit mining. * Coordinate explosive loading, wiring, and detonation. * Verify on-site compliance with safety procedures. * Lead and manage operational personnel assigned to blasting activities. * Coordinate daily activities with the Blasting Supervisor and the SSOMA department. * Ensure correct use of blasting equipment, tools, materials, and accessories. * Verify safe conditions before, during, and after each blast. * Maintain order, cleanliness, and discipline in the work area. * Report progress, incidents, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions. * Support optimization of field blasting processes. * Comply with and enforce applicable safety standards for explosive-related work. **Requirements** * Completed secondary education or technical training (desirable). * Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Blasting Supervisor or in similar roles. * Experience in open-pit mining blasting. * Knowledge of explosive handling, loading, and wiring. * Experience leading operational personnel in the field. * Familiarity with basic mining safety regulations. * Availability to work under a 14x7 schedule\. * Availability to work at Minera Pampa de Cobre – Chapi Mine. **Working Conditions** * **Work Location:** Minera Pampa de Cobre – Chapi Mine. * **Operation Type:** Open-pit mine. * **Schedule:** 14x7\. * **Project Duration:** Approximately 6 months. * **Meals:** Provided at the on-site camp. * **Accommodation:** Provided on-site. * **Transportation:** Provided between Arequipa – Mine – Arequipa. * **Employment Type:** MYPE regime. **Compensation** Starting from **S/ 4,000\.00**, based on experience and evaluation.
