Job Summary: A CAD Drafter prepares, modifies, and updates manufacturing, assembly, and detail technical drawings using CAD tools, transforming technical information into clear and precise drawings. Key Highlights: 1. Preparation of technical drawings using AutoCAD 2D and 3D. 2. Interpretation of mechanical and structural drawings. 3. Development of graphical solutions based on technical criteria. \- JOB MISSION Prepare, modify, and update **manufacturing, assembly, and detail technical drawings** using CAD tools, ensuring that graphical information complies with technical specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and requirements established by Engineering and Production. The CAD Drafter must transform technical information into clear and precise drawings enabling accurate execution of **fabrication and assembly of metal-mechanical structures and components**. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Prepare technical drawings using **AutoCAD 2D and 3D**. * Prepare and modify **manufacturing, assembly, and detail drawings**. * Interpret mechanical, structural, and fabrication drawings. * Perform **breakdowns of structures and metallic components**. * Prepare details of joints, sections, perforations, welds, and assemblies. * Draw metallic structures, supports, platforms, stairs, railings, and similar components. * Prepare drawings for **pipes, tubes, elbows, plates, and metallic parts**, as required by the project. * Include dimensions, tolerances, scales, symbology, and technical specifications. * Prepare drawings for fabrication considering actual production conditions. * Generate views, sections, elevations, details, and isometric representations. * Update drawings according to modifications made during fabrication or assembly. * Prepare **material lists and/or breakdowns**, where applicable. * Verify consistency of measurements and dimensions in drawings prior to issuance. * Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Assembly teams to resolve technical observations. * Maintain an organized and up-to-date digital archive of drawings and technical documentation. * Control drawing versions and revisions. * Conduct on-site or field data collection when necessary. * Comply with LUSAC’s internal procedures and established safety standards. 3\. JOB REQUIREMENTS **Education:** * Technician graduated or certified in **Technical Drawing, Industrial Design, Production Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering**, or related fields. * Specialized training in technical drawing and computer-aided design is desirable. **Experience:** * Minimum of **1 to 2 years** of experience as a CAD Drafter, Technical Draftsperson, or in similar positions. * Experience in **metal-mechanical, industrial, construction, or metallic structure fabrication companies** is desirable. * Experience preparing drawings for fabrication and/or assembly. \- TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE **Mandatory:** * **AutoCAD 2D – advanced level.** * **AutoCAD 3D – advanced level.** * Reading and interpretation of drawings. * Technical drawing. * Scales, dimensions, tolerances, and symbology. * Preparation of manufacturing and assembly drawings. * Knowledge of metallic structures and metal-mechanical components. **Desirable:** * SolidWorks, Inventor, Tekla Structures, or other design software. * Knowledge of 3D modeling. * Familiarity with technical drawing standards. * Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication processes. * Knowledge of metallic materials: plates, profiles, tubes, angles, channels, beams, etc. * Proficiency in Excel for preparing material lists and quantity take-offs. \- METAL-MECHANICAL KNOWLEDGE For LUSAC, it is recommended that the CAD Drafter possess at least technical-level knowledge of the following concepts: * Structural profiles. * Steel plates and sheets. * Pipes and fittings. * Elbows and connections. * Cuts and developments. * Perforations and part preparation. * Bolted and welded joints. * Welding symbology. * Fabrication processes. * Assembly of structures. * Interpretation of measurements and tolerances. * Structural breakdowns. * Material lists. * Basic fabrication and assembly sequence. \- COMPETENCIES **Technical Competencies** * Precision and attention to detail. * Ability to interpret drawings. * Ability to visualize parts and structures in 3D. * Advanced AutoCAD proficiency. * Ability to detect errors in drawings. * Technical judgment to develop graphical solutions. **Personal Competencies** * Responsibility. * Organization. * Teamwork. * Effective communication. * Proactivity. * Analytical ability. * Results orientation. * Ability to work under pressure. * Commitment to quality and safety.
