This is your invitation to rise above the possible. **Job posting end date:** 12/05/2025 Position Objective Lead and execute machine-tool operation activities, ensuring they are carried out according to drawings, technical documents, standards, technical specifications, and quality requirements, complying with guidelines from Quality, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. What You Will Do **Safely operate machine tools such as:** vertical lathe, horizontal lathe, boring mill, milling machine, drill press, rolling machine, among others; in accordance with instructions, standards, procedures, specifications, and manufacturer recommendations. Train and support new operators. Propose new machining procedures. Provide support for new repair requirements. Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation, applying standards, specifications for materials, and tolerances. Use required measuring instruments, properly calibrated and certified, to ensure accurate compliance with specifications in drawings and technical documents. Perform minor assembly and/or disassembly tasks as directed by the Supervisor. Comply with specifications provided in drawings and documentation, adhering to quality standards. Propose best practices to keep work procedures updated and support continuous improvement efforts. Other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor according to your job role. Required Qualifications Graduated technician in Production Mechanics or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience operating large-capacity vertical lathes and boring mills. Knowledge of mining machinery. Selection of cutting tools and accessories. Metrology. Adjustments and tolerances. Reading and interpretation of technical drawings. Bearing and bushing assembly. Operation of overhead cranes and forklifts. Basic technical English.
