Ensure mining safety and regulatory compliance for explosives. **BLASTING SUPERVISOR – SURFACE AND UNDERGROUND** **Work Location:** Pampa de Cobre Mining Company – Chapi Mine **Work Schedule:** 14 × 7 **Work Mode:** On-site, at the mining camp Job Description A mining-sector company is looking for a Blasting Supervisor for a rock blasting project using explosives in surface and underground mining. We seek a qualified Mining Engineer with field experience, responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising explosive loading and blasting activities, ensuring operational safety, adherence to technical standards, and achievement of production targets. **Main Responsibilities** * Plan, coordinate, and supervise explosive loading and surface/underground blasting activities. * Develop and review blast pattern designs, sequencing, and blasting parameters. * Supervise proper handling, storage, and use of explosives and accessories. * Verify safety conditions before, during, and after each blast. * Coordinate with the SSOMA department to ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards. * Monitor production progress, fragmentation, performance, and explosive consumption. * Lead and supervise blasting crews. * Prepare technical reports, results reports, and consumption records. * Propose improvements to optimize fragmentation, performance, and operating costs. * Ensure compliance with current regulations related to mining safety and explosive use. **Requirements** * Licensed, registered, and authorized Mining Engineer — mandatory. * Minimum two years of blasting supervision experience, counted from the date of professional registration. * Demonstrable experience in surface and underground blasting. * Knowledge of drill pattern and blasting design. * Experience in explosive control, results evaluation, and technical report preparation. * Experience leading operational personnel and blasting crews. * Familiarity with mining safety regulations and provisions applicable to explosive use. * Availability to work under a 14 × 7 schedule at Chapi Mine. **Working Conditions** * Meals and accommodation provided within the mining camp. * Transportation covered on the Arequipa – Mine – Arequipa route. * Project duration approximately ten months or longer Employment Type: Full-time Salary: Starting from S/.6,500\.00 per month Application Question(s): * Are you a licensed, registered, and currently authorized Mining Engineer? * Please provide your CIP registration number and the date of registration. * How many years of verified experience do you have, since the date of registration, supervising blasting operations in surface and underground mining? * Do you have experience in blast pattern and sequencing design, explosive control, and blasting crew supervision? * Are you available to work under a 14 × 7 schedule at Chapi Mine?
