Apply technical standards for quality and industrial/environmental safety JOB STATEMENT Lead and carry out mechanical maintenance tasks assigned under the maintenance and repair plan for equipment and components, in accordance with the Quality, Safety, and Occupational Health Management System guidelines. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare all required documentation prior to performing any task, in accordance with standard procedures. Perform all tasks safely, orderly, and cleanly at all times. Lead assigned field maintenance teams, as necessary. Supervise the execution of assigned tasks. Perform basic preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electromechanical, and electropneumatic systems of machinery in general. Completely or partially disassemble machinery or equipment, interpreting drawings and catalogs for maintenance/repair. Perform welding tasks for basic preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment in general. Perform basic inspection activities on welded joints, applying non-destructive testing techniques in accordance with international standards. Perform adjustments and verify results of completed welding work. Repair or replace defective elements or parts of machinery and equipment. Perform adjustments and verify results of completed work. Conduct inspections of machinery and equipment, as well as measurements and recording of results, according to the inspection plan. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specialized information in accordance with applicable standards and specifications. Apply technical standards for quality and industrial/environmental safety. Report any incident, accident, and/or hazardous condition that may affect personnel safety and health, equipment, or the environment. Use resources and tools appropriately, keeping tools organized and in good condition. Propose best practices to keep work procedures up to date and support continuous improvement. If required, perform duties as a bridge crane operator and rigger (provided required certifications are held). Define usage, condition, and applicability of resources under one's responsibility. Inspect and prepare tools and materials for service. Comply with company internal rules and regulations. Operation of Company Vehicles. Other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE **Education:** Secondary education or Higher Technical Education. **Experience:** Minimum 5 years of work experience as a mechanic or in similar roles. Experience in mining and maintenance during shutdowns. **Training (Expected Knowledge):** Maintenance Mechanics, Production Mechanics, Welding, Electricity, or Instrumentation. Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC), Inspections, Hazardous Chemical Materials (MATPELL), High-Risk Work, Lockout, Operational Risk Analysis (ORA), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Emergency Response (preferred).
