FUNCTIONS Carry out instructions and directions from the Grain System Electrical Supervisor, properly reporting progress, performance, and goal achievement. Execute preventive and corrective electrical and instrumentation maintenance work orders, supported by maintenance manuals, electrical and instrumentation standards, and work procedures established by area management. Identify resources and time required to complete each operation. Complement by notifying assigned maintenance work orders within established deadlines. Perform installations and modifications to the electrical and instrumentation systems according to applicable electrical and instrumentation standards for receiving and dispatching equipment in the Mechanized Grain System. Timely request necessary materials and supplies for scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance operations. Request approval for corresponding warehouse withdrawals (reservations), verifying spare parts and material conditions, coordinating support when necessary for complex movements, and reporting stock shortages or returns of spare parts, materials, and/or supplies. Report any abnormal events in equipment, components, elements, or systems—owned or third-party—that could pose risks to port operations, safety, and environmental protection. Promptly report the need for additional work such as repairs, part fabrication, mechanical or electrical welding, and observations made during the execution of scheduled electrical and instrumentation maintenance tasks, priorities, or equipment and machinery inspections. Timely request acquisition of necessary components, elements, and spare parts for planned and priority electrical and instrumentation maintenance tasks. Monitor and inspect systems, equipment, and components that are part of port operations and fall within their discipline. Their scope includes: monitoring and control instrumentation systems, PLCs, frequency drives, soft starters, displays, batch scales, general sensors, industrial networks (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet), SCADA, pneumatic and hydraulic solenoid valves, and control software. Keep routine occurrence reports updated, silo and absorber tower system checklists, and specific activity, performance, and resource usage records. Carry out electrical and mechanical energy lockout procedures on systems and equipment prior to intervention, both in scheduled and emergency situations. Monitor, from the MCC electrical rooms, the progress of dispatch and receiving operations related to transportation, movement, and lifting systems, through direct visual observation and via control instruments, alarm and fault panels, load capacities, temperatures, and current consumption. Inform and guide problem resolution and restoration of system operating conditions by interpreting data recorded in the control and status tools mentioned above. Monitor and maintain order, cleanliness, and condition of instrumentation, operating and maneuvering equipment in the MCC electrical rooms of the mechanized grain system, as well as workshop, tools, instruments, equipment, and machinery cleaning. Report completed scheduled tasks and equipment failures under their responsibility to the Area Manager and/or Supervisor to ensure prompt replacement of components. Perform rotational shift duties attending vessels at the grain receiving system, ensuring proper functioning of system equipment.
