Position Summary: We are seeking a Mining Engineer to supervise mining and processing operations underground, ensuring compliance with production plans and optimizing performance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Supervision of mining and processing operations underground 2. Ensuring achievement of scheduled tonnage and grade 3. Joint planning of the weekly production program A contracting company is seeking an Underground Shift Supervisor meeting the following requirements: Requirements: - Licensed and registered Mining Engineer - Minimum of 4 years of experience in this position - Knowledge of conventional mines and trackless mining equipment RESPONSIBILITIES - Supervise mining activities in assigned underground zones to ensure achievement of planned tonnage and grade. - Supervise mining and production processes to reduce dilution percentage within the assigned zone. - Jointly plan, with the immediate supervisor, the Weekly Production Program and progress reports on mining operations within the assigned zone. - Ensure compliance with the Daily Production Program and/or progress reports for the assigned zone, and correct implementation of the mining method during operations. - Report daily and weekly production results and program compliance to the immediate supervisor. - Other duties inherent to the position.
