Job Summary: OPEMIP is seeking a Cost Controller to manage, analyze, and optimize costs associated with mining operations and projects, supporting various departments. Key Responsibilities: 1. CAPEX and OPEX control and monitoring in mining operations and projects 2. Budget variance analysis and cost optimization 3. Interdepartmental coordination for financial and project management About OPEMIP Peruvian Mining Operators (OPEMIP) is a fully Peruvian company with over 20 years of experience, specializing in Construction and Maintenance Services for Mining and Civil Construction projects. We are currently seeking a **Cost Controller**. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** * Control and monitoring of CAPEX and OPEX for mining operations and projects. * Preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and *forecast*. * Control of actual, committed, and projected costs. * Budget variance analysis and root-cause identification. * Tracking of purchase orders, contracts, services, and valuations. * Cost control for equipment, maintenance, materials, services, personnel, and contractors. * Review of invoices and accruals to ensure accurate cost allocation. * Control of cost centers, accounting accounts, WBS, and project codes. * Preparation of cost reports for Operations, Finance, Accounting, and Management departments. * Monitoring of physical and financial progress of projects. * Development of management indicators and trend analysis. * Coordination with Procurement, Accounting, Finance, Operations, Maintenance, and Projects departments. * Identification of cost deviations and optimization opportunities. * Support for monthly and annual financial closings. **REQUIREMENTS** * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields. * Preferred specialization in Cost Management, Finance, Project Management, or Management Control. * 2–5 years of experience in cost control, budgeting, finance, project management, or related areas. * Experience in mining companies, mining contractors, or construction/mining projects. * Experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis. * Experience tracking purchase orders, contracts, valuations, invoices, and accruals. * Must reside in Arequipa. * Availability to work at SMCV. * SMCV certification (preferred).
