Position Summary:
Supervises blasting tasks in the field, ensuring contractual compliance, operational efficiency, and safety according to Enaex standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manages blasting operations in the field
2. Ensures compliance with standards and protocols
3. Coordinates resources and optimizes material usage
* MISSION: Supervise field tasks related to the blasting process to fulfill the contract established with the client.
FUNCTIONS:
* Provide instructions to the field team regarding tasks to be performed in the blasting zone.
* Submit requests for raw materials and supplies to inform the respective supervisor.
* Verify equipment status, electronic detonators, and availability of human resources to ensure efficient blasting execution in accordance with Enaex standards.
* Program electronic detonators using designated equipment following established protocols.
* Perform priming, tying, and loading of pre-split drill holes when required.
* Conduct reconciliation of accessories used to control efficient product utilization.
* Verify priming quality, loading control, and drill hole stemming to ensure proper blasting execution.
* Compare drill hole and pattern conditions against the corresponding tie-in plan to ensure correct blasting execution.
* Coordinate resource allocation with the supervisor for blasting execution.
* Guide and correct actions that do not conform to drill hole loading protocols or unsafe behaviors.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 4 years of experience in blasting operations
* Preferably 3 years of experience leading blasting processes.
* Preferably 1 year of experience programming electronic detonators.
* Preferably a licensed, registered, and qualified Mining Engineer, Geologist, or related professional.
* Valid A2b license
