About OPEMIP Peruvian Mining Operators (OPEMIP) is a fully Peruvian company with over 20 years of experience, dedicated to Construction and Maintenance Services for infrastructure projects in both the Mining and Civil Construction sectors. We are currently seeking a **Project Manager**. **Job Description:** The Project Manager is responsible for planning, administering, and controlling the execution of services (Work Orders), in accordance with project drawings and technical specifications, while complying with client standards and requirements. As the primary operational lead for project execution, this role ensures efficient resource management and leads the team to achieve project objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating all departments—from planning through to closure of each Work Order—with the goal of optimizing profitability by reducing timelines and implementing management standards that promote continuous improvement. **Academic Qualifications:** ▪ Professional Degree in Civil Engineering. ▪ Valid professional registration (Colegiatura) with at least 5 years of seniority. ▪ Master’s Degree in Project Management. ▪ PMP (Project Management Professional) certification with no more than 5 years of validity (preferred). **Core Competencies:** * Planning Tools: Last Planner, 3WLA, CPM. * Management Methodologies: Lean philosophy, Scrum, Fast Track, Agile, Kanban, PMBOK. * General knowledge of mining construction projects. * Leadership capability and soft skills (certification preferred). * Knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environment (SSO) practices in mining and industry. * SMCV Management System. **Tools / Software:** * Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD / CivilCAD. * Advanced proficiency in MS Excel. * Proficiency in S10, PowerCost, Primavera P6, and MS Project. * Proficiency in Earned Value Management (CV, SV, CPI, SPI). * Proficiency in 3WLA scheduling. **Professional Experience:** ▪ Certified and authorized by SMCV (preferred). ▪ General Experience: Minimum 12 years in mining construction projects (mandatory). ▪ Specific Experience: Minimum 8 years as Site Resident / Project Head / Construction Manager. ▪ Similar Experience: Minimum 5 years in similar projects. **Job Functions:** ▪ Operational direction of the project, including daily staff meetings. ▪ Active coordination with SSO, QA/QC, OT, and Administration departments. ▪ Coordination with the client to align execution with their expectations. ▪ Identification and management of operational, contractual, and financial risks. ▪ Ensuring compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget. ▪ Implementation of cost and productivity optimization strategies. ▪ Supervision of miscellaneous civil works development. ▪ Logistics management for equipment, materials, and personnel on site. ▪ Leading project resource requirement planning. ▪ Guaranteeing physical and administrative operability of equipment. ▪ Resolving technical and operational issues in coordination with relevant departments. ▪ Implementation of best practices and project management methodologies. ▪ Optimization of resource utilization and improvement of operational efficiency. ▪ Preparation of the final work plan and its modifications. ▪ Leading preparation of final PETS procedures and their modifications. ▪ Management of required documentation (permits, authorizations, etc.). ▪ Promoting a safety culture across the entire workforce. ▪ Ensuring compliance with mining safety and environmental regulations. ▪ Leading progress and coordination meetings with all stakeholders. ▪ Validation of project RFI’s, valuations, EDPs, schedules, etc. ▪ Managing submission of physical progress reports to the OT department. ▪ Managing preparation of Weekly and Monthly reports. ▪ Weekly validation of the Look Ahead planning (3WLA). ▪ Validation of analysis using Earned Value Methodology (internal weekly reports). ▪ Periodic reporting to the Project Management Office on project progress. **Requirements** ▪ Must reside in Arequipa. ▪ Availability to work at SMCV. **Join our team!** **Recruitment and Selection Department – OPEMIP** Salary: S/.9,000.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
