We are currently looking for the best talent to fill the position of: **SSOMA ENGINEER** who is interested in working and gaining experience in a metal-mechanical industry company in Arequipa \- Cerro Colorado. **REQUIREMENTS:** * Graduate, registered, and licensed in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or related fields, or Industrial Safety Technician. * Proficient in Office software, Basic English, and training courses or diplomas in Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment. * Experience supervising work at heights, hot work, lifting operations, and handling chemicals. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar positions. * Must reside in Arequipa. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Review and approve safety, health, and environmental policies. * Develop, update, and implement the Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Plan (SSOMA) for the project, ensuring compliance across all phases. * Develop management tools (IPERC, PETS, PMA, and others). * Conduct safety talks, new employee inductions, and periodic training sessions on safety, health, and environmental topics. * Ensure implementation and compliance with applicable legal regulations regarding Safety, Health, and Environment. * Carry out periodic inspections, identify potential hazards, assess associated risks, and propose control measures to minimize or eliminate these risks. * Investigate accidents and incidents, report findings, and follow up on corrective actions to prevent recurrence. * Coordinate with clients on matters related to safety, health, and environment. * Propose immediate improvements and innovations to control existing risks. * Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and compliance with the integrated management system. * Supervise all project activities concerning safety, health, and environment. * Verify, supervise, and inspect the proper use of PPE to minimize risks, accidents, unsafe acts, and occupational diseases. * Review and execute emergency and first aid plans. * Promote a prevention culture by raising staff awareness about the importance of safety and health, and encouraging good workplace practices. * Organize team tasks, set objectives, and minimize errors. * Identify hazards and environmental aspects, evaluate risks and environmental impacts, and establish control measures according to the job role. **COMPETENCIES:** * Organized and orderly individual. * Ability to work under pressure. * Proactive and self-initiated. * Good communication skills. **OTHERS:** * Start date: Immediate * Work location: Camaná – Arequipa Job type: Full-time Application questions: * Where do you reside? * Please state your salary expectations. * Do you have immediate availability?
