We are seeking talented individuals to join our creative team, exclusively on-site. Estación Solar is a new video game development company based in Arequipa. We are recruiting programmers for independent game projects. **Responsibilities** * Implement and refine various aspects of the game, such as scripts, tools, gameplay, user interface, animation, and audio. * Actively participate in game design and production. * Provide technical documentation for different aspects of the game and assist by suggesting optimal implementation approaches. * Collaborate with 2D & 3D artists, musicians, designers, writers, etc., to deliver required features. * Write robust and maintainable code. **Requirements** * Portfolio of Unity-based projects developed in C# within the last two years. Ideally personal projects, to demonstrate your preferred areas of work and programming proficiency. * Familiarity with game development concepts such as state machines, pathfinding, AI, and others. * Knowledge of design patterns applied to video game development. * Open-mindedness, willingness to experiment and iterate on specific game elements. * Ability to clearly communicate questions and contribute feedback or ideas. * Capacity to self-organize and track your own progress and tasks. * Passion for creating and playing video games. **Preferred** * Published games on any platform—whether complete titles, works-in-progress, prototypes, or demos. * Strong mathematical skills. * Proficiency in spoken and written English. * Broad knowledge of a wide variety of games across multiple genres, including both modern and legacy titles. * Interest in game marketing and positioning. **We Offer** * Exclusive focus on developing independent video games, with involvement in the full creative process—from conception through launch on platforms like Steam and subsequent post-launch maintenance. * Fixed remuneration, paid trial period, and access to profit-sharing from sales of developed games. * Statutory labor benefits. * Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. * Office location: José Luis Bustamante y Rivero, Arequipa.
