Main Purpose: Founded in 2004, Catalina Huanca Sociedad Minera S.A.C. is a private company located in the district of Canaria, province of Fajardo, Ayacucho region. It operates an underground polymetallic mine extracting zinc, copper, and lead, using various mining methods depending on geological conditions and vein or deposit types. The extracted ore is processed at the San Jerónimo Beneficiation Plant with a capacity of 2,600 tons per day. In the Graduate Program at Catalina Huanca Sociedad Minera S.A.C., candidates will gain a comprehensive understanding of all operational areas, enabling future development opportunities within the Trasfigure Mining Group. The Trainee Program lasts one year, beginning in January 2026 and concluding in December 2026. Primarily, they maintain constant communication with the mining engineer, who supervises their activities, provides technical guidance, and evaluates performance. They also coordinate with the shift or section supervisor responsible for directing daily operational tasks, receiving instructions and participating in task planning. They also interact with the occupational health and safety department to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures before and during underground or surface work. In many cases, the trainee collaborates with the geology department, participating in sampling, grade control, and topographic surveys.
