Internally, this role interacts directly with General Management and departments such as Operations, Sustainability, Legal, and Communications. This coordination ensures that the mine's technical and production decisions align with social and environmental commitments, and that the company acts coherently and transparently toward its stakeholders. Externally, the superintendent maintains ongoing contact with local communities, social leaders, government authorities, and civil organizations. Through these connections, agreements are negotiated, social programs are developed, and concerns or claims are addressed. The role also promotes partnerships with educational institutions and local suppliers to generate opportunities for sustainable economic development in areas neighboring the operation.
