**Job Summary:** Global Concretos is seeking a **Civil Engineer with proven experience in ready-mix concrete**, specifically focused on **quality control at plant and construction sites**. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that every batch produced and delivered complies with technical specifications, strength requirements, slump values, and applicable regulations. Direct coordination with the plant, operations, laboratory, and construction sites will be required to guarantee the final quality of concrete delivered to customers. **Key Responsibilities (Quality-Focused):** * Supervise and verify **slump**, temperature, mixing times, admixtures, and delivery conditions of concrete. * Conduct **quality tests**: preparation and compression testing of cylinders/cubes, strength verification, and traceability checks. * Control quality of raw materials: aggregates, cement, water, and admixtures. * Verify compliance with **mix designs**, and propose adjustments when necessary. * Prepare daily quality reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action records. * Train mixer and pump operators on quality procedures, proper slump control, and best practices on site. * Supervise concrete placement on site and ensure compliance with customer technical specifications. * Conduct technical inspections at the plant and construction sites, proposing improvement measures. * Coordinate with production and laboratory departments to ensure consistency across each batch produced. * Ensure compliance with applicable ASTM, ACI, and NTP standards for ready-mix concrete. * Manage internal quality audits and support external audits. **Mandatory Requirements:** * **Graduated Civil Engineer** (professional registration preferred). * **Minimum 1–2 years of experience in ready-mix concrete companies** (non-negotiable requirement). * Advanced technical knowledge in: * Quality control of ready-mix concrete. * Strength and slump testing. * Mix design (ACI, ASTM, NTP). * Ready-mix plant processes. * Intermediate/advanced Excel and AutoCAD skills. * Willingness to work on-site (construction sites, mining operations, and plant). * **Preferably residing in Cerro Colorado or nearby areas.** **Desired Competencies:** * High level of organization and technical precision. * Ability to solve problems on site under pressure. * Clear communication with operators, clients, and supervisors. * Results-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement. * Leadership in safety and quality matters. **Benefits:** * Join a growing company with a strong technical focus. * Training in quality control, ASTM/ACI standards, and production processes. * Positive work environment and job stability. * Opportunities for advancement into quality or production management roles. * Involvement in major projects in Arequipa and the mining sector.
