Position Summary: A major company is seeking a Guard Chief with experience in underground mining to supervise, plan, and coordinate operations, ensuring safety and target achievement. Safety management and achievement of targets A leading company in the field of underground mining is searching for top talent to fill the position of ***GUARD CHIEF***, requiring the following qualifications: **GUARD CHIEF / UNDERGROUND MINING** **REQUIREMENTS**: \* Licensed and registered Mining Engineer. \* Minimum 3 years of experience in conventional underground mining. \* Experience supervising underground mine operations. \* Experience in planning and coordination. \* Experience in standardizing blast hole patterns. \* Development of KPIs and monitoring of operational costs. \* Proficiency in Office Suite, Advanced Excel, Intermediate AutoCAD, and drilling and blasting software. \* Achievement of targets (production and advancement). **RESPONSIBILITIES** \* Prepare the daily work plan using the previous shift’s handover report; the deliverable is a physical report. \* Halt any activity or task immediately if conditions pose an imminent risk to worker safety, and promptly implement corrective actions following the hierarchy of controls. \* Prepare, plan, and approve the WORK ORDER at the start of each shift, considering all activities to be performed during the work shift. \* Ensure all assigned tasks comply with safety requirements and guarantee proper completion of management tools (risk analysis for each task, pre-use checklists, etc.). \* Timely submission of assigned safety documents according to the client’s safety system (safety package). Actively participate in accident and incident investigations related to the project. \* Actively contribute to decisions regarding corrective actions to prevent recurrence of accidents/incidents. \* Lead shift handover meetings with assigned personnel, emphasizing safety recommendations and promoting safe behaviors; clearly communicate tasks to be performed during the shift. \* Coordinate with the SSO Manager to plan various works and tasks scheduled for execution on the project, ensuring timely implementation of necessary risk control measures. \* Participate in planning sessions to understand related service requirements under your responsibility. \* Organize and allocate personnel, machinery, and equipment to support work execution. \* Monitor work progress and quality of execution. **WHAT WE OFFER** \* Formal employment with all statutory benefits. \* Transportation, meals, and camp accommodation. \* 14×7 work schedule. \* Willingness to work in Chala, Arequipa.
