Job Summary: Responsible for CAPEX-OPEX budget management of the annual budget, economic analysis, consultancy follow-up, ventilation improvement proposals, and legal compliance for mining projects. Key Highlights: 1. Lead the management of ventilation projects across all phases. 2. Responsible for the economic and technical optimization of mine ventilation. 3. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. JOB MISSION Responsible for the CAPEX\-OPEX management of the annual budget, as well as TIR\-NPV economic analyses for the execution of short-, medium-, and long-term ventilation projects related to mine expansion; monitoring consultancy activities related to ventilation; analyzing and proposing actionable improvement plans for ventilation aligned with mine development, deepening, advancement, and production plans; responsible for tracking legal requirements specified in auditable regulatory standards per Supreme Decree No. 024\-2016 and its amendments, as well as implementation of standards and compliance. Approval of infrastructure projects for the ventilation circuit executed within the unit and/or outsourced, through validation of basic and detailed engineering of assigned projects; KPI indicator management; monitoring safety indices and compliance with company standards and policies. FUNCTIONS* Ensure compliance with SSOMA / HSEC and IDS policies, and proper identification of deviations; verify and ensure safe behavior of all personnel under the Mine’s supervision, applying the organization’s “Rules to Save Lives” established by Catalina Huanca. * Manage and ensure implementation of actions from multidisciplinary committees, inspections, and joint committees to provide safer working conditions at the Mine. * Validate IPERC baseline tools, standards, procedures, internal and external audits, and ensure compliance by personnel under direct supervision and/or supervision and underground workers, where applicable. * Participate in investigation teams, developing measurable and achievable action plans for incidents and/or accidents occurring during operations using the ICAM methodology. * Evaluate the ventilation network, airflow rates, equipment additions, and personnel requirements according to the LOM, and incorporate new ventilation projects. * Prepare technical reports for ITS, MEIA, and/or any other reports required for the LOM and authorizations issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM). * Conduct technical studies via scopes of work such as TOR related to ventilation circuit improvement proposals. * Schedule weekly and monthly ventilation circuit improvement activities, coordinating with the responsible Mine area for execution. * Responsible for implementing inspection programs for the Mine’s primary ventilation circuits, infrastructure, and equipment including fans, ensuring 100% mine operational continuity. * Validation of airflow balance and monitoring reports for underground airflows. * Monitor underground and surface works related to main ventilation infrastructure. * Plan and coordinate with the Energy Department and specialized companies the corrective and preventive maintenance program for primary, secondary, and auxiliary ventilation circuit equipment (fans). * Lead and support scheduled audits and inspections conducted by OSINERMING or other external entities related to ventilation and infrastructure. * Schedule inspections of primary and secondary ventilation circuits (underground), verifying airflow velocity monitoring against permissible limits established in applicable regulations. * Support various tasks as coordinated with the Ventilation Manager and the Superintendent of Technical Services. * KPI management related to costs, energy, and safety indices on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. * Prepare technical reports on current ventilation system conditions on a weekly and monthly basis. * Prepare control and follow-up reports on departmental activities for the Technical Services Superintendent on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. * Control daily and weekly costs to ensure adherence to the budget. * Solely responsible for identifying and approving stoppage records at development, advancement, and extraction faces that fail to meet minimum air quality requirements stipulated in safety regulations such as Supreme Decree No. 024\-2016 and its amendments, as well as Catalina Huanca standards. * Report daily during morning meetings on planning result compliance, ongoing execution, and application of strategies to align operational deviations. * Monitor compliance with training programs outlined in the company’s training plan and established trainings. * Monitor compliance with instructional programs for employees, supervisors, and workers regarding Mine Ventilation. Requirements* Minimum 6 years of experience as a Ventilation Manager. * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering; licensed and registered with the professional association. * Driver’s License Class A1. * Proficiency in the following software: MINING STUDIO UG (BASIC) / DESWICK / VENTSIM (INTERMEDIATE)
