




Main Purpose: Founded in 2004, Catalina Huanca Sociedad Minera S.A.C. is a private company located in the district of Canaria, province of Fajardo, Ayacucho region. It operates an underground polymetallic mine extracting zinc, copper, and lead, employing various mining methods depending on geological conditions and types of veins or deposits present. The extracted ore is processed at the San Jerónimo Beneficiation Plant with a capacity of 2,600 tons per day. In the Graduate Program at Catalina Huanca Sociedad Minera S.A.C., candidates will gain a comprehensive understanding of all operational areas, enabling future development opportunities within the Trafigura mining group. The Trainee Program lasts one year, starting in January 2026 and concluding in December 2026. They also coordinate with shift supervisors and mining engineers to conduct inspections and verify compliance with safety regulations. They engage with operational staff to promote safe behaviors and report incidents. Additionally, they collaborate with occupational health and environmental departments in risk prevention and emergency control. Likewise, they may interact with contractors and regulatory agencies during audits or training sessions. These relationships strengthen their professional development and commitment to mining safety.
