About the job Based at Mandarin Oriental, Sanya / within the Engineering Department in Sanya, the Painter is responsible for painting. The Painter reports to the Building Maintenance Supervisor. **As Painter, you will be responsible for the following duties:** * Receives work order from the B\&D Supervisor and perform general decoration and maintenance of all Hotel furniture and fixtures, walls and floor coverings. * Clean, tidy and maintain the work area and ensures that no dangerous equipment, tools are left strewn onto the work benches and work area. * Perform general refurbishing work of Hotel’s assets/properties e.g. tables, chairs, etc. * Notifies the B\&D Supervisor of any defects in materials. * Informs/advises B\&D Supervisor on stock levels and requests for such replenishments to ensure that there is a ready supply of carpentry tools and materials. * Paint signs and sign boards according to specifications. * Paints all surfaces to hotel assets/fixtures/walls as and when requested. * Attend to guestroom, public area telephone work order so given by the supervisor. * Replace wall floor coverings as so requested by the B\&D Supervisor. * Attends morning briefing of his team to receive instructions/work order. * Based on drawings/diagrams, he develops and constructs furniture(s), walls and floors in accordance to specification given. * Able to assist other colleagues in other works within the hotel. * Ensure the area to be painted is properly protected and covered before painting. * To ensure the work area is clean upon works completion. * Ensure the painting works done is to his personal best capability and not slip slop. * Any other work as requested by the management. **As Painter, we expect from you:** * Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience with similar position. * Proficient in painting, and other related techniques, with strong hands\-on skills. * Operational experience from other hotel divisions or similar industry desirable. * Good communication skills.
