Deliver safe, constructable, and maintainable solutions; proactively manage technical risks (vibrations, stresses, material compatibility, corrosion, extreme pressures/temperatures) and contractual risks; and enable released work fronts and facility start-up within scope, schedule, cost, and quality. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead and demonstrate commitment to safety policies and procedures. * Participate in safety audits and inspections. * Manage and coordinate assigned tasks, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and technical standards. * Identify opportunities for process and project improvement. * Integrate multidisciplinary interfaces (ME – Civil – E&I – Procurement – Construction – SSMA). * Supervise technical procurement: requisitions, specifications for mechanical equipment, valves, piping, and accessories; shop and field inspections. * Review and approve general arrangement (GA) drawings, isometrics, material take-offs (MTO), calculation reports (supports, stress analysis, hydraulics). * Issue weekly/monthly reports (physical progress, KPIs, risks, issues, and required decisions). **Formal Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; valid CIP registration. * Valid driver’s license. * Proficiency in dynamic fluid simulation software (e.g., Autodesk CFD, FLOW-3D, AFT Fathom). * Knowledge of codes and standards: ASME B31.3, B31.1, VIII Div. 1/2; API 650/620, API 610/617, API 5L; NFPA, ISO, ANSI, ASTM, AWS D1.1, ASHRAE; applicable Peruvian regulations; lifting, installation, and hydrostatic/pneumatic testing codes. **Experience** * Proven experience in mining or heavy industry. * Participation across all project phases (engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning). * Experience in installation and alignment of rotating equipment, pressure vessels, piping, and supports. **Specific Knowledge** Ability to: * Define mechanical/piping design bases and criteria. * Review and approve stress analysis, hydraulic, and pumping system calculations. * Plan and supervise equipment installation and testing (hydrostatic tests, NDT, FAT/SAT). * Design and/or approve piping supports, racks, ventilation systems, and HVAC. * Integrate multidisciplinary interfaces (ME – Civil – E&I – Procurement – Construction – SSMA). * Ensure constructability and maintainability of mechanical systems. * Lead mechanical QA/QC: inspection and test plans (ITPs), welding control, equipment alignment, and pressure testing. **Social Process Skills** * Implement change management and continuous improvement plans for engineering and installation processes. * Evaluate information to make sound decisions, manage risks, and drive long-term safe, reliable, and sustainable operations. * Facilitate agreements and cooperation with a diplomatic and open-minded approach. * Work effectively in diverse teams with sensitivity to local social, political, and cultural contexts. **We value local talent** Employment type: Full-time Application question(s): * Do you currently reside in Moquegua or nearby areas?
