Contractor providing services to the Plant; we are seeking top talent for the position of Safety Engineer (Huaraz). Requirements: · Qualified, licensed, and registered Metallurgical Engineer. · Knowledge of IPERC, OPTs ATS, and all safety management tools. · Minimum 3 years of experience in a concentrator plant or mining companies. · Familiarity with ICAM and BOWTIE methodologies. · Availability to work at the UM in Huaraz on a 14x7 schedule. Responsibilities: - Participate in safety planning to ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and safe work practices. - Responsible for implementing the Annual Mining Safety and Hygiene Program. - Halt any activity presenting obvious substandard conditions that endanger personnel, equipment, facilities, or the environment until such conditions are eliminated or controlled. - Manage information related to Safety, Health, and Environmental Affairs (SSMA), including causes and statistics of occupational injuries. - Train staff and advise supervisors to meet the monthly and annual Training Matrix requirements. - Serve as the Safety, Health, and Environmental Affairs (SSMA) coordinator within the organization. - Conduct and participate in inspections and audits of mining operations and facilities to assess compliance with the Mining Safety and Hygiene Regulation (RSHM). - Implement scheduled drills outlined in the Annual Safety Program in coordination with the Company’s Safety Department. - Participate in incident and/or accident investigations to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and communicate findings across the unit’s workforce. - Prepare the department’s monthly report.
