As a **Depot Documentation Assistant**, you will be responsible for meeting deadlines set by Customs, shipping lines, freight forwarders, direct customers, and seaports, delivering real-time information to our customers.
**Key Responsibilities**
**General Business Responsibilities**
* Understand the standards applicable to each pillar (People, Safety, Quality,
Operations, Cost).
Export Tasks:
* Receive and register bookings in the system.
* Receive, register, and transmit DAM (RM).
* Register vessels and vessel cut-off dates, as informed by the shipping line.
* Prepare the daily closing projection.
* Transmit RM (endorsement).
* Inform the customer of the control channel.
* Validate export documents to prepare the customs cargo manifest.
* Ensure service billing.
* Coordinate and prepare files for fictitious shipments. Maintain effective communication with the Inventory Coordinator and warehouse team.
**Import Tasks:**
* Receive and register routing documents from customers and/or shipping lines in the system.
* Respond to Customs notifications.
* Transmit and validate weights and packages to Customs within the timeframes stipulated by current customs regulations.
* Correct weights, packages, and BL numbers.
* Approve preliminary submissions.
* Coordinate changes of status.
* Submit late transmissions.
* Coordinate with SUNAT regarding auctions, adjudications, seizures, and cargo holds.
* Register empty containers for sale.
**AR Tasks:**
* Manage service orders for movement, inspection, etc.
* Review prior cases to confirm customs destination and inform the team leader for approval and issuance.
* Upload the event to SDA (SUNAT portal), generating a ticket; this request number is entered into a preliminary report on Drive.
* Coordinate and follow up with the inspection team to upload documents.
* Validate the web portal.
* Conduct daily review of messages related to withdrawals.
* Receive documents via counter and physically validate them.
**Requirements**
* Graduate of technical or university education.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in customs documentation roles.
Knowledge of the following areas:
* Experience in customer service within customs procedures (import and export)
* Basic English proficiency
