Job Summary: We are seeking a Construction Safety Officer to implement, manage, and supervise the Occupational Safety and Health Plan, coordinate environmental plans, and develop training strategies to minimize risks. Key Responsibilities: 1. Implementation and management of the Occupational Safety and Health Plan 2. Coordination and implementation of project environmental plans 3. Development of training strategies in occupational safety and health (OSH) and environmental matters At METALICAS UNION S.A., we are looking for: CONSTRUCTION SAFETY OFFICER Below is the information regarding the position: REQUIREMENTS * Technical or university education in Occupational Safety and Health or related fields. * Specialization in Risk Prevention is desirable. * Knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Law, SSOMA (Occupational Safety, Health and Environment) risk prevention, construction processes, first aid, emergency response, and ergonomics. * Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles. RESPONSIBILITIES \- Prepare and implement the Occupational Safety and Health Plan for the construction site. * Prepare the appropriate Environmental Plan for the project and coordinate its implementation. * Continuously manage and supervise compliance with the OSH Plan, directives, standards, and OSH obligations on-site, ensuring adherence to applicable OSH legal requirements. * Develop training strategies to instruct and raise awareness among workers regarding the implementation and maintenance of protective measures, hazard control during work activities, and compliance with OSH and environmental regulations. * Develop and participate in executing site improvement activities to minimize SSOMA (Occupational Safety, Health and Environment) risks.
