Position Summary: This role supervises the laboratory's technical, operational, and quality activities, assigns tasks, and ensures proper equipment operation in compliance with procedures and good laboratory practices. Recognized globally as the benchmark for quality and integrity, SGS employs over 95,000 professionals and operates a network of more than 2,400 offices and laboratories worldwide. **Job Description** * Oversee technical, operational, and quality activities within the laboratory. * Assign work among analysts. * Ensure proper functioning of laboratory equipment and maintain control over measurement instruments. * Perform sample testing according to test procedures or methods and applying good laboratory practices, impartiality, and confidentiality of generated information. * Report obtained test result data and necessary information for result evaluation. * Validate data and information obtained during result evaluation. * Coordinate with the sample preparation team to submit specifications for the relevant Commercial Area’s work order. * Coordinate with the Supervisor or manager on sample distribution based on priorities. * Ensure comprehensive laboratory safety and hygiene. * Prepare reports for the generation of Test Reports. * Compile monthly statistics of performed analyses. * Review and/or coordinate orders for stock replenishment based on operational needs.
