




DESCRIPTION A leading client in the banking sector is seeking a "Data Governance Technology Leader." This position is open to residents of Peru (hybrid 2 days in office / 3 remote, based in Lima offices) and to residents of Latin America (fully remote with scheduled on-site visits). **Purpose of the role:** * Transform data governance into an automated and scalable technological capability by integrating technical controls into pipelines and data products to ensure data quality, privacy, and regulatory compliance. **Role Description:** Build the bank’s automated data governance framework, integrating technical controls into the data pipeline and ensuring data quality, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance through scalable frameworks and active metadata. Turn governance into a technical capability—not just a policy function—enabling AI readiness and continuous compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design and own the technology framework for scalable data governance, including evolution of data quality (data quality as code), detection of DACs, use of active metadata, etc. * Implement automations: PII classification and detection, policy-as-code, automated metadata capture, lineage, and impact analysis. * Translate policies into technical controls integrated into pipelines and data products. * Embed controls within engineering pipelines and collaborate with risk, compliance, and audit teams to ensure effectiveness and reporting. Co-lead the design of dashboards for data quality, metadata, and control scorecards, enabling continuous monitoring and auditing. * REQUIREMENTS **Profile:** * 8–15 years of experience with data governance tools, engineering, or risk management. * Experience with data catalogs and metadata tools (Collibra, Atlan, Purview). * Knowledge of data quality frameworks (Soda, Great Expectations) and lineage tools (OpenLineage). * Experience in privacy and regulatory compliance. * Proficiency in English.
