**What are the main responsibilities of this role?**
* Manage and optimize the GOS system and weighing technologies, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and integration with terminal operational systems. Coordinate with IT teams to resolve incidents and drive technological innovations.
* Supervise and control the flow of units within the terminal, ensuring agile and uninterrupted access and exit operations, maximizing operational efficiency and adapting resources according to operational demand.
* Lead the transition and adoption of the GOS system in weighing processes, ensuring effective implementation, correct data configuration, and ongoing training of key personnel in the use and maintenance of the new technology.
* Monitor, analyze, and manage operational data from the GOS system and scales, identifying trends, optimizing processes, and generating strategic reports for key decision-making in continuous improvement.
* Ensure effective integration of the weighing system with port management platforms, facilitating real-time information access, improving cargo traceability, and maximizing operational efficiency.
* Implement and supervise quality and safety controls in the weighing process, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations, minimizing operational risks, and guaranteeing accuracy of operational records.
* Efficiently coordinate with key terminal areas such as Quay, Yard, Warehouse, and others to ensure agile unit management, facilitating operational continuity and preventing unnecessary disruptions in operations flow.
* Develop mitigation and response strategies for operational and technological incidents, ensuring rapid response capability in case of weighing system failures, GOS data capture issues, or congestion in scale areas.
* Develop, update, and standardize operational procedures for automated weighing handling, promoting an organizational culture focused on continuous improvement and process optimization within the terminal.
* Actively participate in continuous improvement, digital transformation, and innovation projects, promoting automation, optimization of logistic flow, and operational efficiency through advanced methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other strategic tools.
* Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of scales and the GOS system, ensuring reliability and continuous operation, as well as managing relationships with technology suppliers for equipment improvement.
* Train and develop assigned personnel in the use of digital tools and automated weighing systems, ensuring the team remains highly competent and aligned with technological advancements in the port sector.
* Conduct periodic internal audits of the weighing system, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational regulations, and implementing improvements based on findings.
* Manage and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to unit flow, waiting times, weighing efficiency, and record accuracy, using reliable data and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
* Collaborate closely with regulatory bodies, customers, and stakeholders, validating weighing and cargo control processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and reinforcing the terminal's reputation as an efficient and reliable operator.
* Provide flexible support to other operational areas of the terminal, ensuring operational continuity and adaptability to new operational needs.
**What kind of talent are we looking for?**
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields.
* 5 years of experience in logistics, port, or industrial operations, managing weighing processes, cargo flows, or vehicle traffic in terminals.
* Experience in implementation and operation of automated control systems, especially with GOS (Optical Character Recognition).
* Lean Six Sigma – Black Belt certification required.
* Class A1 driver’s license (Desirable)
* Proficiency in MS Office required.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Advanced Power BI skills.
* Intermediate English proficiency.
