We are currently recruiting for the **Mechanical Engineer, Intermediate** position to join our Minerals \& Metals business line. **About You** * Minimum 6 years’ experience in engineering consulting for projects related to mineral concentrator plant design and mining facilities. * Experience in construction and commissioning of mechanical equipment. * Knowledge of conveyor belt calculations, pump selection calculations, platework calculations (tanks, chutes, hoppers, etc.), interpretation of P\&ID drawings, and process flow diagrams. * Familiarity with and interaction with 3D design using Smart Plant. * Development of technical documents such as technical specifications, descriptive memoranda, data sheets, trade\-offs, technical memos, CAPEX and OPEX estimates, etc. * Technical evaluation of mechanical equipment suppliers. * Proficiency in conveyor calculation software including Helix, Sidewinder, and others. * Proficiency in hydraulic and transient analysis software including AFT Fathom and AFT Impulse. * Preparation of material requisition documents for mechanical equipment in mining process plants. * Technical evaluations for procurement of mechanical equipment. * Review of supplier documents and drawings for engineering development on projects. **About the Role** * Control, review, and prepare mechanical arrangement documents and drawings for project development. * Support preparation of technical proposals and conduct site visits to mines when required. * Prepare alternative studies (trade\-offs) and possess knowledge of equipment and material cost estimation. * Manage mechanical equipment bid packages, perform technical evaluations, and review supplier information. Coordinate equipment implementation and preparation of construction drawings. * Coordinate with various disciplines during project development and actively participate in mechanical design decisions. * Responsibility for the mechanical discipline team on the assigned project, including performance monitoring (SPI and CPI). **Why Ausenco?** We support individual growth and aim to enable you to work in a way that leverages your strengths and meets your needs.
