Service Administration** Ø Administer and monitor the VMware Hyper-V virtualization platform. Ø Administer and monitor Microsoft Azure, AWS, OCI. Ø Administer and monitor F5 load balancers. Ø Administer and monitor HPE server infrastructure (networks, servers, switches). Ø Administer and monitor HPE storage systems. Ø Administer the Veeam Backup solution. Ø Supervise daily, weekly, and monthly backup tasks for server data. Ø Supervise the proper execution of IT production deployments. Ø Supervise the correct implementation of change controls approved by management. Ø Manage IT projects. Ø Supervise the daily execution of financial jobs. Ø Supervise the correct execution of scheduled tasks—daily, weekly, and monthly—and generate compliance reports. Ø Supervise the correct execution of approved SQL, Oracle, and MySQL scripts. Ø Execute and monitor service and task checklists. Ø Execute and monitor user and group provisioning/deprovisioning, previously reviewed and approved by the account architect. Ø Allocate computing resources. Ø Manage DNS, DHCP, AD, CA, GPO, Sites, IIS, FTP, and other directory services. Ø Supervise and review the proper development of service management indicators. Ø Supervise that tickets submitted via the Help Desk Ticket Management tool are resolved within defined SLAs. Ø Keep operational procedures for the area up to date. **2. Equipment Availability and Performance** Ø Ensure performance of physical and virtual server platforms. Ø Ensure availability of UPC’s critical and core systems, including academic and administrative systems. Ø Ensure optimal performance across the entire server platform. Ø Ensure optimal performance and availability of institutional services provided to organizational users (e.g., VPN). Ø Ensure full integration of all institutional service platforms. Ø Manage and monitor service availability indicators. **3. Operations** Ø Supervise assigned personnel to ensure 24x7x365 operations coverage. Ø Supervise and guarantee proper execution of the annual DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan). Ø Execute the process of creating and administering user accounts, user groups in Active Directory, and email groups. Ø Control and manage backup processes for the organization’s critical information. Ø Verify communication status within the campus and between the campus and external locations via VPN and the Internet. Ø Review disk utilization and other resource usage across all servers. Ø Verify alerts issued by the monitoring system. Ø Ensure temperature and humidity levels inside the Data Center remain within acceptable parameters. Ø Reduce server vulnerabilities. Ø Manage tickets via ServiceNow. Ø Supervise proper implementation of departmental procedures. Ø Manage quarterly password changes with zero impact on services. Ø Manage monthly RFCs (Request for Changes) for servers and databases. Ø Generate tickets to vendors for issue resolution. Ø Supervise proper shutdown and startup of the Data Center. Ø Perform tape transfers between sites. Ø Coordinate with vendors to ensure optimal Data Center operations. **Requirements and Qualifications** **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** * Graduate or currently enrolled in a prestigious technical institute or university program in Electronics, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science. * Knowledge of virtual platforms, storage systems, LAN/WAN networks, and hardware/software fundamentals. * Preferred experience in VMware virtual platform management, cloud technologies, project management, and HPE infrastructure. * VMware certification. * Windows Server certification. * Linux certification. * Preferred: Microsoft Azure, AWS, and OCI certifications. * Preferred: Cloudflare certification. * Preferred: Oracle certification. * SQL certification. * Preferred: knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL. * Preferred: Project Management certification. **KNOWLEDGE:** * Server platform and Windows OS administration. * Server platform and Linux OS administration. * Active participation in data center implementation projects. * Project management. * Azure and AWS virtual platform management. * Vendor and contract management. * Preferred: familiarity with office automation tools. * Veeam Backup solution management. * Security solution management. * Database management. * Intermediate English proficiency. * Familiarity with ticket management tools. * Knowledge of ITIL. * Server patch management. * Familiarity with NIST and OWASP security frameworks. **COMPETENCIES:** * Ability to lead teams and manage projects; strong interpersonal and team communication skills. * Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team. * Results-oriented. * Flexibility to adapt to change. * Responsibility and diligence in performing tasks and fulfilling responsibilities. * Negotiation skills. * Analytical and problem-solving skills. * Empathy. * Strong conflict-resolution skills.
