Basic machine maintenance and time optimization Job Description We are a metalworking company specializing in maintenance, installation, and manufacturing of mining equipment; we are currently seeking a production mechanic (lathe operator, milling machine operator, boring machine operator) for the production department. Requirements: \- Graduate of Machine Tools, Production Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, Heavy Machinery Mechanics, or related fields. \- Minimum two years of experience in similar roles within metalworking companies. \- Proficiency in operating parallel lathes, vertical lathes, milling machines, boring machines, etc. (Desirable) \- Knowledge of measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, tape measures, external and internal micrometers, etc.). \- Experience in blueprint reading. \- Basic welding knowledge. \- Familiarity with spare parts fabrication for equipment such as mills or crushers is desirable. Responsibilities: \- Read and interpret mechanical part fabrication blueprints, identifying materials, shapes, dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes. \- Fabricate cylindrical, conical, eccentric, and threaded parts within minimum tolerances. \- Assemble and disassemble equipment and components. \- Perform milling operations on parts. \- Polish, drill, adjust, and shape parts made from various materials. \- Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure proper operation. \- Optimize part manufacturing time. \- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
