Position Summary: Supervises strawberry production, ensuring quality standards and traceability for supply to IQF plant and export markets. Key Highlights: 1. Comprehensive planning and management of strawberry cultivation 2. Quality control and traceability in production and harvesting 3. Advanced irrigation, fertigation, and phytosanitary management Plan, supervise, and ensure strawberry production meets quality, yield, and traceability standards for continuous supply to IQF plant and export markets. Responsibilities: Crop Planning * Develop planting schedule. * Define planting density. * Schedule production campaigns. * Estimate yield per hectare. Soil Preparation * Conduct soil analysis. * Adjust pH level. * Apply organic matter. * Install raised beds and mulching. * Install drip irrigation system. Irrigation and Fertigation Management * Schedule irrigation according to phenological stage. * Monitor electrical conductivity (EC). * Apply balanced fertilization. * Monitor water consumption. Phytosanitary Management * Continuously monitor pests (mites, thrips, aphids). * Control diseases (botrytis, powdery mildew, rots). * Apply authorized products. * Comply with SENASA regulations. * Implement integrated pest management (IPM). Growth and Production Supervision * Evaluate vegetative development. * Monitor flowering and fruit set. * Measure Brix degrees (sweetness). * Control fruit size and firmness. Harvest Supervision * Schedule daily harvest. * Supervise field selection. * Ensure proper handling to prevent damage. * Reduce losses. * Guarantee fruit suitability for IQF freezing. REQUIRED PROFILE Education: * Licensed and registered Agronomic Engineer. * Minimum 2 or 1 year of experience in strawberry crop management. * Experience in agro-export (desirable).
