We are bridging two worlds—advancing toward more sustainable energy sources while simultaneously helping to provide the energy, chemicals, and resources needed today. **Position Objective:** Responsible for the development and production of conceptual, basic, detailed, or field engineering through specialized knowledge in mineral processing, ensuring safety and a high standard of quality in discipline deliverables in accordance with design criteria, standards, and codes. **Key Responsibilities:** * Serves as a subject matter expert in the development and review of engineering—from conceptual studies through detailed, field, and operational engineering—depending on project scope. * Ensures compliance with safety and quality requirements for Process Discipline design, in alignment with national, global, and client standards, codes, and specifications. Where the client does not provide such standards, proposes to the Discipline Lead a high level of standards based on local and international standards applied by Worley. * Provides technical advice and reviews technical specifications and design from potential equipment and machinery manufacturers and suppliers for mineral processing, aligned with Worley’s and the client’s technical, quality, and safety standards. * From the Process Discipline perspective, proposes and executes realistic timelines for the production of Conceptual Studies, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Studies, Basic and Detailed Engineering Designs, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Operations Manuals, and Technical/Commercial Proposals. * Proposes to the Discipline Lead criteria related to operational philosophy, budget, schedule, and deliverables to be submitted, ensuring appropriate (non-exhaustive) production of design deliverables, and appropriate (non-exhaustive) generation of process design criteria, mass balances, PFDs, P\&IDs, Process Control Strategies, Commissioning and Operations Plans, and other documentation agreed upon with the client. * Is an active member during Commissioning phases of the Process Discipline, including System Mapping, Installation Checklists, Dry and Wet Testing, Operations Team Training, Start-Up, Process Ramp\-Up, Bottleneck Decongestion, and Start-Up Problem Resolution. * Proposes and develops Value Engineering within the Process Discipline, depending on project scope and client needs. * Coordinates professionally and collaboratively with other disciplines, clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure project success. * Responsible for ensuring compliance with Worley’s Quality Assurance System and HSE System. * Other duties inherent to the position. **What will you bring?** **Software, processes, and tools:** * **Specialized Knowledge:** Process Engineering in mineral processing, with focus on base metals. Experience in processing other metal types is valued. * **Specific Experience:** Minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in a similar role. Project management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure, global environment. * **Academic Qualifications, Accreditations, Training:** Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, with active registration in the College of Engineers of Peru (\#CIP). * **HSE Skills:** Actively promotes behaviors aligned with our LIFE value and HSE policies applicable to the Process Discipline. * **IT Skills:** Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft suite (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); advanced proficiency in Bruno, Metsim, JKSimmet, and multiple process calculation and design software. Personal Competencies: High-level interaction across all levels, with positive influence on people. Strong oral and written communication skills expected. Ability to supervise subcontractor work, junior engineers, and designers. * **Other Skills:** Autonomy, entrepreneurial mindset within work, ability to operate effectively in a global environment. * Planning and Control Skills.
