In Peru, we operate across most economic sectors—including mining, agriculture, and fishing—forming part of the value chain for their products and services. **Job Description** * Preparation of briquettes and samples for analysis by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR), and infrared spectroscopy (IR). * Cutting of briquettes and hand rock samples, and briquette generation. * Mechanical sample preparation as described above, and qualitative and quantitative mineral characterization of samples from concentrator plants, geology (detritus), exploration (diamond drilling), various stockpiles, and projects such as Chalcobamba–Sulfobamba or other plant and mine areas, using: optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, stereomicroscopy, total rock and clay X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR), infrared spectroscopy (IR), or other equipment MMG may implement in its characterization laboratory. * Sample preparation for clay-type analysis applying the following methods: separation of clay material, ethylene glycol saturation, and calcination at 400°C and 500°C. * X-ray diffraction analysis, phase identification, and sample refinement using DIFFRAC.EVA and DIFFRAC.TOPAS software. **Requirements** * Metallurgical/Chemical/Geological/Physics Engineer or related field, with bachelor’s degree, professional title, or license. * Demonstrated specialized training in mineral identification and quantification via X-ray diffraction. * Experience: Minimum three (03) years working as an X-ray diffraction analyst in the cement industry, Cu-Au-polymetallic mining industry, or in mineral characterization laboratories using X-ray diffraction, or related industry. * Experience in identification and quantification of total rock minerals using BRUKER’s DIFFRAC.EVA and DIFFRAC.TOPAS software or equivalent software from other manufacturers. * Solid knowledge of routine preventive maintenance for X-ray diffraction equipment (D8 ENDEAVOR preferred). * Solid knowledge of quality assurance regarding sample preparation, sample reading, and mineralogical quantification via XRD. * Intermediate-level Microsoft Office and Excel. * Basic-to-intermediate English proficiency. * 14×7 work schedule. **Additional Information** * Formal employment registration from day one. * Statutory life insurance. * Corporate agreements.
