Job Summary: We are seeking a self-taught developer for the development and maintenance of web applications using the MERN stack and WordPress support. Key Highlights: 1. Active use of AI tools for development ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Academic background: * \- Student or graduate of technical/university programs related to Software Development, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar fields (technical institute or university, either is acceptable) * Mandatory technical knowledge: * \- MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) * \- MVC architectural pattern * \- Tailwind CSS for styling and layout * \- WordPress (maintenance, theme and plugin customization) * \- Version control with Git Required profile: \- Self-taught with ability to independently learn new technologies \- Active use of AI tools for development (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Lovable, or others) MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * 1\. Development and maintenance of production web applications using the MERN stack * 2\. Building reusable components and modules for production systems * 3\. Corrective and evolutionary maintenance of WordPress sites (updates, customization, security) * 4\. Technical assistance to the Tech Lead in implementations, debugging, and incident resolution * 5\. Preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports, completed tasks, and critical issues * 6\. Participation in code review and pair programming sessions * 7\. Support in general development team tasks as required by the project * 8\. Handling of technical emergencies outside regular working hours when required COMPETENCIES Technical: * \- Frontend development with React and modern CSS frameworks * \- Backend development with Node.js and Express * \- MongoDB database management * \- Implementation and consumption of REST APIs * \- Git: collaborative workflows (branches, pull requests, merge) Plus (differentiating factors): * \- Experience with automations in Make.com or Zapier * \- Knowledge of Google Apps Script (Sheets, Docs, Gmail) * \- Familiarity with deployment services (Vercel, Render, Railway) * \- Prior experience with JWT, Socket.io, payment integrations Working Hours: * \- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM \- 6:00 PM * \- Lunch break: 1:00 PM (1 hour) * \- Total: 45 hours per week Additional considerations: * \- Availability to handle technical emergencies outside regular hours when required by the project * \- Flexibility to adjust schedules during critical production situations Position Type: Full-time Salary: S/.1,500.00 \- S/.1,600.00 per month Application Question(s): * What academic programs have you studied?
