




Job Summary: We are seeking a Construction Superintendent (TPS) to lead multidisciplinary teams in the construction and commissioning of tailings transportation systems. Key Responsibilities: 1. Our team in Peru is growing, and we are currently recruiting a **Construction Superintendent (TPS)** to join our Minerals & Metals business line on one of our major field-based projects. **About the Role** * Lead multidisciplinary teams involved in the construction and commissioning of tailings transportation systems (TPS), fostering a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment. * Ensure compliance with the defined scope, cost, schedule, and quality for civil and mechanical works associated with the TPS: earthworks, access roads, dykes, tailings dams, pumping stations, discharge lines, and hydraulic structures. * Coordinate directly with the client, maintaining open communication to ensure alignment with Environment, Operations, Process, and Construction departments. * Supervise contractor resources (personnel, equipment, materials), verifying compliance with technical specifications and committed capabilities for execution of the tailings pumping and conveyance system. * Promote strict adherence to Safety, Health, and Environmental policies, ensuring TPS activities are conducted under regulatory and corporate standards. * Ensure proper implementation of quality controls throughout all construction phases: welding, hydrostatic testing, HDPE/steel pipeline installation, pump assembly, structural works, and associated civil works. * Review daily reports and contribute to the preparation of weekly and monthly reports, consolidating physical progress specific to the pumping system, conveyance lines, and complementary works. * Review, validate, and approve technical procedures for critical TPS activities such as lifting, rotary equipment assembly, functional testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning. * Review and validate contractor payment certificates, ensuring consistency between quantities executed on tailings system works. * Supervise daily, weekly, and three-week schedules, verifying that contractor activities align with the project’s critical path. **About You:** * **Bachelor’s degree and professional registration in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).** * Minimum 15 years’ experience in Mineral Processing Plants (mineral processing) during construction or operations phases, including earthworks, access roads, dykes, tailings dams, and water management. Proven experience in **construction, installation, and testing of TPS systems** (pumps, pipelines, pumping stations, manifolds, tailings dams). * 5 years’ experience in the role of Superintendent. * 5 years’ experience in mining companies on EPC/EPCM or similar projects (mandatory). * Solid knowledge of safety regulations and mining standards. * Willingness to work on-site (field regime). * Experience in technical procurement management, particularly for rotary equipment, piping, valves, and specialized TPS components. **Why Ausenco?** We support individual growth and aim to enable you to work in a way that leverages your strengths and meets your needs.
