Exposure to best practices in infrastructure and cybersecurity. **Network and Security Support Intern** **Mont Group – Peru** At **Mont Group**, we are seeking a **Network and Security Support Intern**, with a strong interest in technology, networking, and cybersecurity, who wishes to gain practical experience and grow professionally within a collaborative environment focused on technological excellence. We seek a curious, responsible, and learning-oriented individual who will support the IT team in operating, supporting, and securing the organization’s technological infrastructure. **Position Objective** Provide first-level technical support and collaborate in the administration, monitoring, and implementation of basic network and IT infrastructure security controls, contributing to operational continuity and protection of Mont Group’s information. **Main Responsibilities** * Support **first-level technical support** for incident handling and service requests via the **ClickUp** tool. * Collaborate in **user and access administration in Microsoft Office 365**. * Support the **implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of information security policies**. * Participate in **basic risk and vulnerability assessments**. * Assist in the **configuration and basic maintenance of servers and IT services**. * Provide support for **backups, updates, and preventive maintenance tasks**. * Collaborate in applying **information security controls and best practices**. **Technical Knowledge (in training)** * Fundamentals of **networking**: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP. * Fundamentals of **Information Security** (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability – CIA). * Basic concepts of **cybersecurity**. * Basic proficiency with **Windows and Linux operating systems**. * Fundamentals of **IT infrastructure**. * Services: **Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Server, Print Server**. * Monitoring tools: **Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG** (desirable). **Skills and Competencies** * Strong **willingness to learn** and follow best practices. * **Logical thinking** and ability to solve basic problems. * Ability to **work effectively in a team**. * **Clear and organized communication**. * **Responsibility, commitment, and proactivity**. **Academic Background** * Student or graduate in **Systems Engineering, Networking, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields**. * Basic courses in **networking or IT security** (desirable). **What We Offer** * Real hands-on experience in **networking, IT support, and security**. * Ongoing mentorship and learning alongside the technology team. * Exposure to best practices in **infrastructure and cybersecurity**. * Excellent work environment and opportunities for professional development.
