Position Summary: Universidad de Ciencias y Humanidades is seeking a Technical Support Assistant to prevent and resolve issues and optimize the performance of institutional equipment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Providing technical computer support and troubleshooting for users 2. Preventive/corrective maintenance of computing equipment 3. First-level support for networks and communications Universidad de Ciencias y Humanidades, licensed by SUNEDU, in its process of institutional growth and development, is currently seeking a TECHNICAL SUPPORT ASSISTANT for the Technical Support Department. · PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Prevent and resolve issues, as well as optimize and improve the performance of institutional equipment. · RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical support and resolve computer-related issues experienced by administrative users and classroom/laboratory computing equipment. Perform preventive/corrective maintenance on institutional computing equipment. Provide first-level support regarding networks and communications. · REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Technical support. PC installation and maintenance. Experience handling projectors. Management and installation of surveillance cameras. CAT 6 structured cabling. Punch-down of cables (Type A and Type B). Connectorization. OPTIONAL: Knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server. · REQUIRED SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY: Windows 10, 11. Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022. Microsoft Office 2019, 2021, Office 365. Bitdefender, Sophos antivirus software. Operating system cloning software. Operating system image generation software. · REQUIREMENTS: Technical diploma in Informatics, Computing, Systems, or related fields. Bachelor’s degree or undergraduate student in the final cycles of Systems, Informatics, Electronics, or related programs. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in educational institutions performing similar duties. Work modality: IN-PERSON. · WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM Saturdays: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM Rotating schedules per semester. · WE OFFER: Formal employment with statutory benefits.
