POSITION: METALWORKING TECHNICIAN **Company:** Expertec **Department:** Operations / Metalworking Projects **Work Mode:** On-site and fieldwork Job Description At Expertec, we are seeking a **Metalworking Technician** responsible for performing fabrication, assembly, repair, and maintenance tasks on metal structures and components. The position requires a responsible, meticulous individual committed to safety, capable of interpreting basic blueprints, operating metalworking tools and equipment, and coordinating effectively with engineers, supervisors, and technicians during project execution. Main Responsibilities * Fabricate, repair, and assemble metal structures and parts. * Perform metal cutting, layout, drilling, grinding, and finishing operations. * Carry out welding tasks according to project specifications. * Interpret blueprints, sketches, and measurements for component fabrication. * Properly operate hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment. * Verify dimensions and condition of fabricated parts. * Assist in the assembly and disassembly of structures and equipment. * Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on metal components. * Report progress, malfunctions, or material requirements to the supervisor. * Maintain a clean and orderly workplace. * Comply with occupational safety and health procedures and personal protective equipment usage protocols. * Support other operational activities related to company projects. Requirements * Graduate Technician in Metalworking, Production Mechanics, Metal Construction, or related fields. * Minimum 1 year or more of experience. * Experience in fabrication, assembly, or maintenance of metal structures. * Knowledge of welding, cutting, and metalworking tools. * Ability to interpret blueprints and perform measurements. * Availability to work in workshops, construction sites, or field locations. * Class A1 driver’s license (desirable). * Willingness to travel as required by assigned projects. * Responsibility, punctuality, and ability to work collaboratively. Desirable Knowledge * SMAW, MIG/MAG, or TIG welding. * Operation of grinders, drills, angle grinders, welding machines, and cutting equipment. * Use of measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and levels. * Basic knowledge of industrial safety and high-risk operations. * Experience in industrial, metalworking, or electromechanical companies.
