**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** * Drive a proactive approach to safe plant operations, remaining alert to unsafe practices and conditions and ensuring corrective actions are taken. * Ensure the facility operates within all permit requirements. * Ensure systems are in place and operable for effective emergency response and be responsible for frontline incident control. * Ensure completion of all safety and environmental documentation. * Ensure economic and operational efficiency of the plant, ensure the shift understands the plant business strategy and budget, and manage resources (personnel and materials) within operational requirements and budget constraints. * Supervise execution of the production plan, communicate goals and deviations as necessary, coordinate with other departments on behalf of the operations team, coordinate internal information exchange such as shift handover and shift logs. * Maintain production targets and ensure optimization of plant performance. * Ensure all product quality specifications are met and develop methods and procedures to increase operational efficiency. * Ensure the plant operates within the operating limit, guarantee proper equipment ownership transfer between Operations and Maintenance, identify and prioritize maintenance requirements, and write associated work orders. * Provide technical support to troubleshooting activities during the shift and ensure reliability issues are properly identified and communicated to the relevant department. * Assist in the development and maintenance of operational procedures and standards. * Supervise the activities of all shift operators; develop individual performance improvement plans with operators and formal training and development requirements. * Provide coaching and informal instruction, conduct annual performance reviews, and hold individuals accountable for their performance and behavior. * Participate in the national apprentice training program. A key aspect of this program will be to act as a mentor by providing the apprentice with meaningful work assignments, on-the-job training, and progress monitoring. * Comply with company directives, plans, procedures, guidelines, legal requirements, and other commitments adopted by the Company regarding Quality, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE). * Actively participate in any Quality, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment activity required as part of assigned duties and, in general, in any other initiative implemented by the Company to improve performance. * Promote compliance with Quality, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment standards and guidelines, including any work involving contractors, suppliers and customers. **REQUIRED SKILLS** * Excellent teamwork skills. * Proactive communication at all levels. * Leadership towards individual and team goals. * Valid driver's license. * Bilingual (Spanish-English at intermediate level). **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE** * Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Petrochemical Engineering. * Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil, petrochemical or LNG industry, of which 3 must be as Operations Supervisor. * Knowledge of the petrochemical or mining industry working as shift supervisor. * Knowledge of Gas Safety Policies and Procedures according to current regulations.
