**Job Description**
* Plan, execute, and supervise operation and maintenance activities for generation assets.
* Perform operational maneuvers—start-up/shutdown, connection/disconnection—of assets (hydroelectric power plants, substations, dams, and intake structures), coordinated with the control center.
* Execute operational controls, scheduled inspections, and functional tests to ensure asset availability and reliability.
* Analyze operational and maintenance variables to diagnose equipment technical condition and support decision-making.
* Log failures, manage corrective actions, and track them in SAP PM.
* Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and propose actions to prevent recurrence of failures.
* Supervise contractor-performed work, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.
* Develop and update work procedures, IPERCs, rescue plans, and technical documentation.
* Provide support during audits and respond to inspections conducted by regulatory authorities and electrical sector stakeholders.
* Activate emergency response and operational contingency plans as required.
**Requirements**
**Education Level:**
* Technician trained at a Higher Technological Institute.
**Specialization:**
* Mechanical–Electrical Technician (preferred)
* Industrial Mechatronics Technician (preferred)
* Maintenance Mechanics Technician
**Additional Knowledge:**
* Experience in maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment at hydroelectric power plants.
* Proficiency in operation of power generation plants and electrical substations.
* Proficiency in power generation and transmission systems.
* Knowledge of welding techniques and processes, metalworking, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Experience using mechanical and electrical workshop equipment.
* Knowledge of operation and maintenance of hydraulic infrastructure.
* Basic knowledge of control systems, electrical protections, power electrical systems, and SCADA systems.
* Basic SAP PM knowledge.
* Proficient user-level MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Basic AutoCAD skills (preferred).
* Valid driver’s license with minimum four years of validity.
**Experience:**
* Minimum five years of experience in this role.
**Additional Information**
* Work Schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off
* Work Location: Malpaso Hydroelectric Power Plant
* Per diems.
* Profit sharing.
