Apply sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining guests’ current loyalty to Marriott. Identify opportunities to sell upgraded products to customers and upsell services to create enhanced guest experiences or events at Marriott. Perform general office tasks to support Sales and Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, transcribing information, sending faxes). Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, initiatives, third-party data) using sales-related software. Gather materials and compile information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). Determine and award guest recognition gifts as appreciation for their patronage (e.g., reward points, show tickets). Prepare sales-related documents throughout the entire sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, banquet orders for events). Serve as the primary point of contact with clients and communicate with them via telephone and email to respond to inquiries and requests. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management. Comply with all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards; anticipate and fulfill guests’ service needs; and express sincere appreciation. Communicate with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; and answer telephones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team efforts toward common goals; listen and respond appropriately to concerns raised by fellow employees. Read and visually verify information presented in a variety of formats; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
