Position Summary: We are seeking a Structural Civil Engineer to lead projects, propose solutions, and ensure the quality of infrastructure design for both public and private sectors. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead the technical execution of structural projects. 2. Design at conceptual, basic, and detailed levels for diverse projects. 3. Ensure compliance with design standards and codes. **Education:** *Licensed and registered Civil Engineer with postgraduate studies in Structural Engineering.* **Experience:** *10–15 years of experience preparing technical documentation for government-funded projects, within consulting firms.* **Main Responsibilities:** * *Lead the technical execution of projects in the Structural Engineering discipline.* * *Propose structural solutions and make autonomous decisions.* * *Advise on and review designs prepared by junior and intermediate engineers.* * *Prepare project delivery plans and schedules meeting client requirements.* * *Perform conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering design of concrete, steel, and masonry structures—including standard, significant, and essential buildings—for public and private investment projects such as: airport infrastructure, highway bridge works, sanitation projects, penitentiary centers, among others.* * *Develop structural discipline documents for engineering files, including: design criteria, descriptive reports, calculation reports, technical specifications, itemized lists, quantity take-offs, and reports, among others.* * *Review and analyze results and reports from preliminary and basic studies.* * *Coordinate with modelers to develop BIM models and discipline-specific drawings.* * *Ensure compliance with national (e.g., RNE, MTC) and international (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE, AWS, AASHTO, FEMA) design standards and engineering best practices.* * *Review and ensure the quality of every document and drawing issued within the discipline.* * *Identify and resolve technical issues related to structures.* * *Participate in multidisciplinary technical coordination meetings.* * *Participate in reviewing and addressing observations raised on technical documentation.* * *Assist in preparing proposals, planning, defining scopes of work, and drafting contracts.* * *Establish contact with subject-matter experts, peers, and other internal or external project teams.* * *Conduct site visits and evaluate existing structures according to project requirements.* * *Support the discipline leader as required in role-related activities.* **Knowledge:** * *In-depth knowledge of national structural design standards (e.g., RNE, MTC) and international standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE, AWS, AASHTO, FEMA).* * *Proficiency in structural analysis software: SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, IDEAStatica, among others.* * *Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and common data environments.* * *English language proficiency (Desirable).* **Soft Skills:** * *Effective communication (oral and written).* * *Teamwork.* * *Problem- or conflict-resolution ability.* * *Adaptability to change.* * *Self-management.* * *Leadership.* Employment Type: Full-time Work Location: On-site
