Job Summary: We are seeking an EXPERIENCED WELDER for structural and maintenance welding work underground in mines, strictly adhering to safety regulations and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform SMAW, MIG welding, and oxy-cutting operations underground in mines. 2. Fabricate and repair metallic structures and components underground in mines. 3. (Servicios Metal Mecánicos Peruanos) is a Peruvian company specializing in comprehensive maintenance, installation, and repair services for electromechanical equipment and industrial instrumentation—particularly within the mining and industrial sectors—operating under high standards of quality and safety. **Job Description** We are seeking a **MINING UNDERGROUND WELDER** with experience in structural and maintenance welding work underground in mines, strictly complying with safety regulations and safe work procedures. Experience required in SMAW and MIG welding on metallic structures, supports, chutes, hoppers, pipelines, and ground support reinforcement. **Main Responsibilities** * Perform SMAW, MIG welding, and oxy-cutting operations underground in mines. * Fabricate, repair, and reinforce metallic structures (chutes, hoppers, grizzlies, supports, and pipelines). * Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on metallic components underground in mines. * Interpret basic engineering drawings and technical specifications. * Prepare welding materials, equipment, and consumables. * Perform cutting, grinding, and fitting of metallic parts. * Strictly comply with mining safety regulations and safe work procedures. * Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand/electric tools. * Identify hazards in the work area and report unsafe conditions. * Work in confined spaces, at heights, and under typical underground mine conditions. * Coordinate tasks with supervisors and maintenance personnel. **Requirements** * Valid police clearance certificate (no criminal or police records). * Technical qualification in welding. * Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. * Availability to work under a 20-day-on/10-day-off schedule in mining areas. **Benefits** * Formal employment registration from day one. * Accommodation, meals, and transportation (Trujillo – Pataz – Trujillo) covered by the company. * Opportunities for professional development and career growth. * Positive work environment. * Job stability. **How to Apply?** Send your updated CV to: **administradortrujillo@sermep.com.pe** Or contact us via WhatsApp: **949 174 468** Employment Type: Full-time Salary: S/.2,300.00 – S/.2,500.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
