Job Summary: We are seeking Safety Engineers to ensure regulatory compliance, implementation of management systems, and safety in mining operations. Key Highlights: 1. Responsible for safety in productive processes of the Mining Area 2. Active participation in safety meetings and investigations 3. Ensuring compliance with the Annual Safety and Health Plan SHOUKAN Mining and Geological Exploration, a company dedicated to geological and mineral deposit exploration, is currently seeking 03 Safety Engineers with the following qualifications: · Requirements: - Licensed and registered professional engineer. - Mining Engineer or Geologist. - Specialization or studies in: Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment. - Knowledge of accident reporting. - Minimum 5 years of experience in the position. - Basic level proficiency in Office applications. - Experience in implementing management systems and programs. - Valid A2 driver's license and experience operating 4x4 pickup trucks. - Availability to work under an atypical 14x7 work schedule. · Responsibilities: 1. Conduct and participate in all scheduled safety meetings with all personnel. 2. Ensure compliance with current legal regulations as well as the Internal Safety Regulations. 3. Ensure compliance with the Annual Safety and Health Plan in the Mining Area. 4. Responsible for safety in the productive processes of the Mining Area, as well as compliance with Supreme Decree No. 024-2016-EM and its amendments: Supreme Decree No. 023-2017-EM and Supreme Decree No. 034-2023-EM regarding safety, and recommendations from the Occupational Safety and Health Committee. 5. Responsible for achieving quantifiable targets, activity sequencing, number of workplace inspections per administrative economic unit, and execution timelines. 6. Responsible for implementing the Training Plan related to worker safety at SHK. 7. Ensure that work activities are carried out according to established standards and in strict accordance with PETS (Procedures, Equipment, Tools, and Systems). 8. Responsible for suspending operations in the Mining Area when imminent danger and/or substandard conditions are identified, following verification or notification by staff and authorization from superiors. 9. Participate in accident or incident investigations and generation of respective reports. 10. Implement corrective actions to address findings and non-conformities resulting from audits. 11. Evaluate the effectiveness of personal protective equipment (PPE) purchased by the company and submit reports to supervisors. 12. Respond immediately to any hazard reported at the worksite. 13. Provide first aid and evacuate injured or endangered workers. 14. Ensure continuous presence of a safety inspector during high-risk mining operations. 15.
