This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to an innovative and impactful project in the wind energy sector, working in the Ica region of Peru. **Position Summary** We are seeking a UT Level II Inspector with proven experience in non-destructive inspection of wind turbine blades. The selected professional will be part of a team of two inspectors, crucial for verifying the structural integrity of vital components in wind energy production. The role involves performing UT inspections using advanced phased array technology, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in every measurement. This position demands exceptional dedication and precision due to critical inspection areas and the technology used. **Key Responsibilities:** * Conduct thorough ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections on wind turbine blades, focusing on critical areas such as blade roots and L47 positions near tooling frames. * Operate and configure state-of-the-art phased array equipment, specifically Olympus Omniscan X3, X4, or SX, ensuring correct application of the inspection method. * Select and use appropriate probes (5 MHz, 1 MHz, 0.5 MHz) for each material type and inspection depth, maintaining a set of backup equipment to ensure continuity of operations. * Work closely with a second UT inspector, forming a cohesive and efficient team for task execution. * Accurately interpret, analyze, and document inspection data, generating detailed reports on blade condition. * Ensure proper application of couplant gel (ultrasonic conductive gel), provided by the client, to optimize ultrasonic wave transmission. * Coordinate and supervise auxiliary equipment such as scaffolding or aerial work platforms (AWP) and generators, facilitating safe and efficient access to wind turbine blades. * Strictly comply with all industrial safety and quality protocols established by Eosol Group and current regulations. * Maintain inspection equipment in optimal condition, reporting any anomalies or maintenance needs. **Essential Requirements:** * **Certification:** Must hold a valid UT Level II Inspector certification issued by a recognized body. Certification documents will be required. * **Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience performing UT inspections, with a particular focus on the wind energy sector or large composite material inspection. * **Technical Knowledge:** Advanced proficiency in using phased array equipment, especially the Olympus Omniscan series (X3, X4, or SX), and experience handling different probe frequencies (5 MHz, 1 MHz, 0.5 MHz). * **Skills:** Demonstrated ability to work in a team, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. * **Availability:** Full availability to work in the Ica Region (Nazca) during the specified contract period (1 month), adhering to the established work schedule. * **Equipment Management:** Ability to supervise and ensure the proper functioning of necessary work equipment (probes, scaffolding/AWP, generators, backup equipment). **Preferred Skills:** * Specific experience inspecting large fiberglass structures or composite materials. * Knowledge of international non-destructive testing standards applicable to the wind energy sector. * Effective communication skills for interacting with the team and reporting findings. * Quality-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
